Hva alle utviklere må vite om tegnsettenkoding

8 Sep 2011 by Stein Magnus Jodal

English: This is slides and video from the Norwegian lightning presentation on character encoding I did at the JavaZone 2011 conference today.

Smidig! :-)

I'm a software engineer living in Oslo, Norway with my wife and two kids.

I enjoy working with open platforms and technology, like the web and Linux-based infrastructure. I express myself mostly in Python, JavaScript, and a bit of Rust.

At work I've built everything from the web interface of millions of video conferencing devices, and the backend of a Norwegian electricity retail business, to a solar production logger based on Python and Debian, with GPRS connectivity and a thought-through security story.

For fun I hack on several Open Source projects, mostly related to Python and the Mopidy music server, but I'm also getting into electronics and lurking in the Rust community.
